What is affiliate marketing? Affiliate Marketing, also known as performance-based marketing, is a type of advertising that rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own efforts. With this model of online marketing, advertisers typically provide an affiliate with information about their products and/or services, including commission rates. For example: You could get paid $0.25 every time you refer someone to Amazon who makes a purchase!

How much is the global affiliate industry worth? It’s hard to answer this question without first defining what “affiliate” means. Is it just people who share links on social media? Or does it include influencers, bloggers, and even friends of brands that are compensated for their posts about products or services they love? According to one study by ShareASale, the global affiliate marketing industry has grown from $5 Billion in 2012 to $7.6 Billion in 2016 with a projected growth rate of 16% annually.

The most common way is by sending commissions to affiliates who direct the traffic they receive from their marketing efforts to the merchant’s website. There are also other ways for affiliate networks to make money, such as through advertising revenue or product sales. But if you’re an affiliate marketer, it doesn’t really matter how they make money because all that matters is what you get! You can earn anywhere between 20% and 50% of each sale made through your link. That means that if someone buys something worth $500, you’ll earn $100-250 without lifting a finger! And this isn’t some pie in the sky opportunity – there are countless success stories with people earning six figures (or more) per year just by working part

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money by selling other companies’ products. It’s not as complicated as it sounds! If you’re interested, here are the basics of how affiliate marketing works.
This blog post will describe what affiliate marketing is and why it’s popular today. We’ll also talk about the different ways that marketers can use affiliate links in their content – from simply including them at the bottom of posts to creating entire articles around specific offers. Lastly, we’ll offer some tips on how to get started with your own affiliates program!

The first party is the advertiser, or merchant.
They create and manage their own affiliate program and pay commissions to affiliates for driving traffic to their website and converting customers into buyers.

Affiliates can be bloggers, publishers, or anyone with a website who wants to earn money by promoting products online. The second party is the publisher (affiliate), who promotes merchants’ offers on his/her site(s).
Merchants pay publishers when they drive sales through clicks or conversions from those publishers’ sites. Publishers can also promote offers from multiple advertisers at once so they don’t have to choose between different programs—they just need one account!

The third party is the customer, who buys something after clicking an affiliate link on a publisher’s site (or via other methods like paid search ads).

And finally there’s the fourth party – you!
